Make it Make Sense Season 2
Stories are the language of the soul. They shape our lives. They have a way of penetrating the heart, in a way few other influences can. That's why Jesus used stories: to make sense of deeper truths. The stories Jesus told became known as parables. They were Jesus' way of helping us make sense of the kingdom of God, and of life today, in a story that we can remember and meets us where we are.
Wise Builder
In "Season 2" of our "Make it Make Sense" series, we are beginning with Jesus' stories: the parables. When we lose heart, we don't need to be convinced of anything. We need to be woken up. And Jesus does just that through his stories. He wakes us up to receive his promises and live in fullness of life.

Parable of the Sower
Are we willing to set aside our preconceived notions of God and hear what Jesus says? The world looks at some people and thinks, "There's no chance for them." But to Jesus, they are worth a try...and he is willing to GENEROUSLY shower the seed of his word into their hearts. If we are willing to hear, Jesus says that he will bring LIFE into our lives that we could never imagine.
Jesus is Not a Patch
In Season 2, we continue to make sense of our story by making sense of the story of the Bible. Today, we look at a story that Jesus told about how simply ADDING him to what we've already got going is not only not best, but is DESTRUCTIVE. And...that's actually good news - because he's got something better than what you've got going.
